BeakDoc Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 So, the theme (in my head, at least) for this build was something a high school gear head would have tooled around in in the mid-70s to early 80s. I have the inline 6 dogeared for the Nova wagon sometime in the future. I pulled the 421 and wheels from a ‘65 GTO kit that was all but destroyed during shipping. Just a fun little change of pace build. Paint is Dupli-color Stone White and Tamiya TS-35 Park Green with Wet Look clear. Comments, questions, tips, pointers and critique is always welcome. Thanks for looking. Namaste.
AmericanMuscleFan Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 Beautiful little pickup, very clean build, your vision is very well expressed in this build and it would be the pride of many young or older guys...! ?
PappyD340 Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 Looks pretty darn spiffy to me, well done Chris!
larman Posted March 13, 2021 Posted March 13, 2021 Nicely done! I like the Pontiac engine! My dad had that era Chevy pickup with an Olds 394 in it for a short time back in the early 70's. That sort of swap was certainly done back then.
TransAmMike Posted March 13, 2021 Posted March 13, 2021 Great job on it Chris!! Sharp looking 60's truck?
Steve H Posted March 13, 2021 Posted March 13, 2021 Hi Chris, this is a perfect example of your build vision. Wheel choice is spot on for that era. One of my best friends dad had a Ford with turbine wheels just like that. Well executed! Some turbines had a grey colour between the “spokes”, some were polished as I recall. Cheers, Steve
Kromolly Posted March 13, 2021 Posted March 13, 2021 Awesome build. That looks like something that would have been parked in my high school parking lot. Love the Poncho engine and tripower.
skymnky721 Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 Really nice ,,great color combo,,and pics are great too
Metalbeast Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 Love it! But a word of warning. The engine from this wouldn't be correct for a Nova, if being correct is you thing.
