MarcoTJ Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 Starting my first WIP on this fórum with this Fujimi Ferrari. Although it's a small car, the kit has 237 parts.
MarcoTJ Posted March 23, 2021 Author Posted March 23, 2021 Started building the parts of the engine, chassis and axles. Then primed and painted with auto base coat. Metallic parts were first painted black then metal. This engine must have about 20 pieces to it. That's all for today!? 1
Venom Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 (edited) Awesome! ... I will definitely be following this since I have the same model only it’s a cabriolet and it’s the enthusiast series. Looking to build it in the not too distant future. Edited March 23, 2021 by Venom
Bainford Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 Oh, very cool! I'm definitely watching this one. I love the little Dino. I've made three attempts to buy this kit, including bring straight-up ripped off by an ebay seller, but so far I haven't landed one. Currently have one on back-order at HobbyLink Japan, so fingers crossed.
Italianhorses Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 Test fit a lot with this kit. Very problematic fit on some assemblies. Good luck!

Never built a Fujimi before.

MarcoTJ Posted March 24, 2021 Author Posted March 24, 2021 Did some engine detailing. Got these nice accessories: added larger wire sleeves on the distribuir The red wire fits nicely More details On the other end I added a red sleeve. Also from a larger gauge wire I liked the effect Now I have to rest my eyes ??? 1
89AKurt Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 I have the GTS kit, so will watch this build! Looking good so far.
MarcoTJ Posted March 25, 2021 Author Posted March 25, 2021 Engine area almost done. First test fit succesful! 1
MarcoTJ Posted March 26, 2021 Author Posted March 26, 2021 Second round. Getting the cabin parts ready for painting. And made holes in the steering wheels. 1
MarcoTJ Posted March 27, 2021 Author Posted March 27, 2021 Sanded the mold lines This one was ugly Got it off All the covers fit nicely. The whole body was sanded down to 1000 grit. I find this way best for primer anchoring. Tricky part. Stick it and covered the gap with superglue. Did the same on the front 1
MarcoTJ Posted March 27, 2021 Author Posted March 27, 2021 Sanded down the superglue. Looks good. Washed the kit to remove the dust and residues. Ready for priming! 1
Bainford Posted March 28, 2021 Posted March 28, 2021 Nice work. Just got to love the shape of that body.
Matt P Posted March 28, 2021 Posted March 28, 2021 I really like the Dino Ferraris, and your off to a great start on this one!

MarcoTJ Posted March 28, 2021 Author Posted March 28, 2021 2k primer time. I love the way this primer goes on. Still some sanding to do. Stubborn mold lines. Primer reveals everything. But that's OK. Better see these lines now than after the paint.? 1
