My advice is to build something that doesn't require a 2 tone paint job or a lot of bare metal chrome work. Those vettes look like a good choice.

These are nice kits to start with and still relatively cheap. If you have a hobby lobby stop at one when thy have he 40% off sale going on. Which might be next week. They might have the 57 chevy kit there. It looks like this.

It's a very attractive kit, but has some mold parting lines on the body. If you clean those up, check your work with primer, and be careful with paint you will have a very nice model.
