So, I was going through some of the kits that I just got and I came across this semi-started build. I think this will be moving to the front of my build pile.

Loving the look of what has been done already.

Nice! Yeah, you need to finish this one, it's off to a cool start. I was just mulling over those intake parts the other night and thinking, you seldom see this option built. Stance is seriously cool. Digging it!

Big '57 Chevy fan here watching this!!

Thanks!

So, I have spent t a bit of time today working on this new project a d trying to come up with a plan. I'm thinking on a late 60's- early 70's home built hot rod / weekend drag car. My inspiration is loosely taken from this 1:1 I found online.

I cut the bumper free from the grill, found a parts box steering wheel and seats, and removed the signal indicator from the column. Next is to clean up the body for primer.

Dug through the paint cabinet this morning and came up with this Testors blue. Sprayed a first coat. I'll wet sand this smooth and get another couple of coats on it tomorrow.

Nice color Tom and thanks for your comments on my '55. Oh, and I like the black spokes with the chrome rim.

Thanks Mike.

Got this all cleared today. I will let it gas out all weekend and see about foiling on Monday and another quick coat of clear.

I took pics today but they don't look much different than the last photos.

Wow! Had to dig a few pages back for this one. Been a bit.

I wasn't feeling the blue paint as a 70's street cruiser/ weekend racer. So, I stripped the paint and changed it up. The body will be a Gloss Metallic Black.

Working on the interior now.

Very cool, and agree that this is more of a standout color scheme. Reminded me of several cars associated with Larry Watson and that period and place.

Nice work on the roof. It reminds me of the old Ramcharger race livery.

Thanks David!

I got the body painted this morning. Definitely a different vibe than the blue.
