ewetwo Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 I finished this last night. 1974 AMC Gremlin. I owned a 1971 red Gremlin. That's why I didn't use the decals that came with the kit. The stripe was located closer to the windows. It didn't have these huge bumpers on it either. Mine was a 6 cylinder with a 3 speed transmission on the floor. Fast little car.
Just Jim Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 That turned out great. I have seen and read about several folks who had difficulty getting the body to sit correctly on the frame but yours looks just fine. Love the detail work on the body with the hand painted black stripe and silver around the wheel wells and bottom.
shoopdog Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 Turned out great, love to have one of these Gremlins today. What's that man doing over at the pop machine?
ewetwo Posted April 6, 2021 Author Posted April 6, 2021 Thank you Jim, Dave, Ray and Keith. You are right Keith. He doesn't look right does he. LOL. He's going into a new spot. LOL
ewetwo Posted April 6, 2021 Author Posted April 6, 2021 (edited) Thank you Thomas. It didn’t seem to want to fit correctly and all of a sudden it fit. It’s odd that the chassis doesn’t completely cover the bottom. Edited April 6, 2021 by ewetwo
FLHCAHZ Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 That really turned out nice. The detail on the hatch and tail lights really sharp!
ewetwo Posted April 7, 2021 Author Posted April 7, 2021 Thank you David E. Thank you Jim. I liked them because they were quirky. Like me. LOL
doorsovdoon Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 Funky little cars these Gremlins. Very nice work.
