Csaba aka felhasznaaloo Posted April 12, 2021 Posted April 12, 2021 Tried to kind of replicate a friend's 1:1 car. Rebuilt out of a dealer promo model, which I bought off ebay. Wheels are resin, made by my friend mentioned above. Paint is Zero Paint Chevy Le Mans blue.
1972coronet Posted April 12, 2021 Posted April 12, 2021 That is a beautiful 1962 Valiant ! It especially looks nice in that blue colour ; and the tyres and wheels are perfect ! I have a 1960 or 1961 Valiant hardtop disassembled promotional which needs a restoration .
majel Posted April 12, 2021 Posted April 12, 2021 Very nice clean model of a great subject we don't see too often!
Tom Geiger Posted April 12, 2021 Posted April 12, 2021 I like it and I’ve always been a big Valiant fan. Nice work. Is your friend with the car in your country?
Csaba aka felhasznaaloo Posted April 12, 2021 Author Posted April 12, 2021 Thank you all. My friend lives half way accross the globe... never seen his car in real life?
TransAmMike Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 (edited) Very nice build Csaba. I always thought these cars look odd but you made it look terrific.? Edited April 13, 2021 by TransAmMike
bisc63 Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Sweet. That's about as nice as one of those cars can look. The right color, wheel choice, and stance have transformed this car big-time.
doubleyoung2003 Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 so beautiful,I like the shape of this car!!?and the color just right!!good job!!?
echo Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Looks good, I had the same model when I was a kid. You don't see many models of this car built up so thanks for posting.
Csaba aka felhasznaaloo Posted April 13, 2021 Author Posted April 13, 2021 Thanks to all of you for the kind comments!
ModelcarJR Posted April 14, 2021 Posted April 14, 2021 Csaba, it looks great! My wife had one of these when we first met. It was a faded bronze that looked like brown. It was a very ugly car. Her dad traded it in for a 67 Mustang Fastback. She got the better end of that deal. Your Valiant looks good! Nice work! ?

Thanks J! For the fun story, too!??
prostreeter69 Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Very nice!!! Really like seeing someone build this as a street car. Most of what I see have been cut up for racing.
Csaba aka felhasznaaloo Posted April 17, 2021 Author Posted April 17, 2021 Thank you gents. Good to hear from you Slusher.
charlie8575 Posted April 24, 2021 Posted April 24, 2021 Came out nicely. Another kit I would be very happy to see AMT re-create. Charlie Larkin
