1959scudetto Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 Back in 1984, I bought a JoHan 1964 Dodge Super Stock* (picture is from the internet), but didn't want to make it a quartermile racer. So I built some sort of stock version, swapping the wheels with some found in my parts box (probably from amt) - spray-painted with leftover rattle cans - chrome trim is silver paint: Here's the class of '64:
bisc63 Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 Nice collection. I really like the unusual color scheme you put on the Dodge, especially the darker shade of green; really beautiful. I have to say, though, for me your 64 Mercury takes "Best In Show". Is that the AMT Marauder kit?

TooOld Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 Great looking Dodge Helmut ! I've got the same kit , good to know it can be built stock .
Venom Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 Very cool car and I love the color combo choice. Good job!
doorsovdoon Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 I like the wheels, it changes the look from grocery getter to a decent looking muscle car with that body style. Cool colour too.

Cool colour too. Thank you Gareth, the wheels came from the parts box, and the colors were leftover rattle cans. I've been inspired for the side-stripe by the picture on the kit box - and then I used that paint for the roof also...
charlie8575 Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 Interesting treatment on the Dodge. Looks very much like a high school kid's car from the '70s. Nice job on that. Charlie Larkin

Tiger89 Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 Nice, especially the photo of the '64s lined up. I still use Bare Metal Foil as little as necessary, especially with Molotow out now. Tolle Arbeit, Helmut!
