Test body is in the drink.  I bought two 32oz bottles of the Isopropyl Alcohol and it just wasn't enough to cover the top of the body.  I had a bunch of lead weights I sat in the tub to take up some of the area to raise the fluid level.  I tried putting a weight on top of the car to hold it down and it kept sliding off as the paint was already starting to come off.  It's on like Donkey Kong ☺

You need a lid on that container.

I have it covered.  Just took a pic of how the body was setting in the tub with all the lead weights.

This is just after 2 hrs.  Seems to be working pretty good.  We'll see in the morning.

Ok fellows....here is a video and a few pics of the results of putting the test body in a tub of isopropyl alcohol for about 21 hrs.  After cleaning the body up in hot water with Dawn dish detergent it looks pretty good.  If I left it in a lot longer it may have taken more of the Rust-Oleum primer off as well but this is good for me.  I'll just scuff it up and give it another coat of primer and call it a day.

Looking good. Now what ?

I guess wait for a sunny calm day and give it another shot hoping for better results.

Get yourself a good sized box and use that kind of like a spray booth. I know it's not one but it will shield the wind from three sides and you should be able to spray on a breezy day. Get it up off the ground so grass and stuff won't blow into it..

Ya set it up on it's side just like a booth. Get your body mounted on something you can hand hold. I grab a bottle or something and roll a piece of tape into a circle, and tape the body to the top. Now I can hand hold the bottle and shoot down on the body at the same angle for all sides and the top surfaces too.

Thanks Dave.  Just sent the wife a text to bring me a box home.

Got it sanded down, re-washed in Dawn, and re-primed.  Came out fine.

Cleaned up nice Bob and the primer looks good.  I forget what primer you use.
