Well this sucks. There’s no 1935 Ford Roadster kits....

No, the model companies did 1933, 34 and 36 kits and skipped the 1935 model year.
But the 1935 is more like the 36 than the 34 and I've heard of people changing the hood and grille on 35's with 36 pieces.

Yeah. That was my point. They skipped 1935. A shame really. I agree, it resembles very close to the 1936 model.
