Ertl-AMT farm tractor models

  l know that Round 2 has done quite a few re-pops and re-issues of a lot of AMT kits. Does anybody know if these tractors might be re-released in the future? l read somewhere that there was a licensing problem but didn't find anything specific.

It is believed the farm implement stuff stayed with Ertl when Racing Champions bought AMT and the model side.

Someone from Round 2 has stated publicly that they did not get the farm tractor kit tooling in their deal with Tomy for acquisition of the AMT/MPC/Ertl plastic kit tools.

I would like to get a couple of these as well. Especially something that can be made into a competition pulling tractor. I believe a competition version of one of the tractors was released by Ertl, though I've never seen it.

There is a version of the Massey Ferguson with wider rear tires and headers.

I'ts not likely we are going to see these farm kits any day soon, Tomy/ERTL is focusing on die casts, toys and collectable market so they could as well have included the tooling for the 1:25 scale farm equipment in the AMT deal with Round 2 as they will most likely never use it themselves...I would be surprised if they did.
Last time the John Deere 4430 was reissued was 1999 with AMT brand when RC2 owned AMT/ERTL, RC2 was aquired by Tomy 2011 and Round 2 ended up with mostly everything as far as model kits go except for the ERTL farm equipment tooling and maybe also the John Deere 310 Backhoe tooling.

• #8003 International 1466 Tractor
• #8004 International Farm Wagon
• #8005 John Deere 4430 Tractor
• #8006 Farm Wagon (appears identical to #8004, just molded in John Deere colors this time)
• #8007 Massey-Ferguson 1155 Tractor
• #8008 Massey-Ferguson Farm Wagon (again, same as #8004, now molded in M-F colors)
• #8011 Ertl International Automatic Beam Plow
• #8012 John Deere Moldboard Plow
• #8016 Massey-Ferguson Spirit of America Tractor

They appear on eBay fairly regularly. Just did a Completed Item search for "Ertl tractor" and saw several, from built to MIB, ranging from $100-$250.
