hedotwo Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 I have a 63 Caddie HT that needs a hood and glass. At a glance it looks as though a 64 HT could be a donor but thought I'd check with the experts first.....
Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 No expert but a quick Google search shows it should work. 1963 1964
hedotwo Posted July 7, 2021 Author Posted July 7, 2021 That's what I did too and I figured it might work, just thought I'd see if anyone had both on the shelf or unbuilt that could verify. Those are better pix than what I found and you can really see they're likely the same. Guessing the glass on the HT's is too. Thanks Jay
pack rat Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 I just test-fitted a USA Oldies '64 hood to my '63 annual. If you trim the triangular mounting tabs/hinges on the rear corners of the Oldies hood (or just cut them off) it's a perfect fit on the '63. It's virtually the same part. I'm sure the glass is a perfect fit as well, but I wasn't prepared to disassemble the '63.

ChrisBcritter Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 Rich, there's a little difference where the hood tucks under to meet the grille, but it should be thick enough to modify. The hood should split along the front edge and the bottom part should be mounted above the grille. I did that on my '64.
