1928 Lincoln Touring Conversion

Haven't checked for a while either, but that build is all kinds of awesome.

For lazy builders like me...not all of these Service Cars had a towing rig.  Some used a simple 2-wheeled dolly for towing the customer's car.  One of the most popular was the Weaver Auto Ambulance, which looks pretty easy to scratch-build.

Most canvas or convertible tops that I can recall would range from a semi gloss, newer convertibles, to a flat finish usually. Period wise I would think the canvas would be on the flat side, just my thought anyway.

Thanks David, that's what I was thing too.

Everything about this one looks great!

Whether or not the roof is correct, it looks right.

I also like the doggo looking for lunch.

Thanks David, I think I'm going to leave the top flat black. The dog is for a Christmas village but I cut off the snowy base, repainted it and added some garbage. I needed something else small to work on when this Lincoln would tick me off.

Haven't checked in for a while and you're doing an excellent job !  Your top turned out great and in my opinion the wire wheels really look perfect , always like the Hillbillies wheels and tires . :)

Thanks Bob, it's getting there.

Thanks Michael, I've seen these before & was thinking about building one for this. We'll see how aggravated I get with building the boom and if all goes well I'll build one of these too.

I also scratch built one of these in 1/25 scale as a companion piece to my Ford TT Weaver equipped wrecker. Wasn't  too difficult. I found some basic dimensions on-line.

I just accessed the link shown above and if you allow the data offered all the dimensions needed to scratch build one is right there. Anyone interested in seeing photos of mine can PM me your email address and I will send them to you.
