Zippi Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 While doing some research for my 1949 Chevy truck I came across this video. This is pretty wild that someone would set up one of the old AD trucks as a drift truck. https://fb.watch/7cSNQ44oaO/
Zippi Posted August 6, 2021 Author Posted August 6, 2021 Thanks fellows. I thought this was pretty kewl. Never expected to see and old AD truck setup this way. Looks like it works pretty good.
BlackSheep214 Posted August 9, 2021 Posted August 9, 2021 I never understood the rage of this "drifting" craze. What's so great about it? It's nothing but a fast way to ruin a perfectly set of tires? I don't get it. 1

If the other forms of racing are the car equivelent of running then drifting is the gymnastics or high bar. Also you might be surprised to learn they use part worn tyres in practice but in competition they have a very limited set of tyres available for the entire competition weekend (I think its 2) And its one of the cheapest and easiest motorsports to be a part of, you just need any rwd car with a welded diff and your good to go. Its also very cool to see the old japanese vids of 5 or 6 cars drifting narrow mountian roads while maintaining the same angles and speed as the lead car, so much control and it looks like they are doing ballet
