This is a Revell 1/12 Crusader chopper that I painted HOK tangelo pearl.  Most of the chrome was stripped, painted black and coated with that Japenese powder ginsing or whatever it's called.  Bike was wired, fuel line, oil lines, throttle, clutch, brake controls were added.  Also added a spoiler to the rear fender.

One of the best builds of this kit I've seen.  The downplaying of the chrome is great.

I agree, well done!

How did you like working with the 'chroming powder'?  I've seen it before and always been tempted to get some but wasn't sure how easily it applied and how well it worked...but based on your results I might have to give it a shot.

It doesn't shine up like chrome.  Maybe black chrome.  It sure gives a different finish. I can't remember the real name though.  I know it starts with a "g" and it's not gunzo.

I paint the part gloss black and then apply the powder with a Q-Tip and then polish with a soft cloth.  Wear gloves.  The powder is very fine and somewhat messy.
