The return of the Lamborghini Countach

Automobili Lamborghini has finally debuted the new version of its famous Countach after teasing its return. The Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 was created to pay homage to the famous design of the RWD mid-engine sports vehicle while also embracing 21st-century style.

A new car with an eye-pleasing and not grotesquely exaggerated body shape paying homage to the original car.  I like it (but I also liked the original).  This also shows how timeless the original design was.

I'd even say it improves on the original.  Definitely better looking than most of Lamborghini's recent efforts.

Yeah, this is a win for me. It pays homage to the chassis design but modernized it in a clean way. Now, it's probably uncontrollable insanity to drive due to being only RWD but that's never going to be a me problem.

Finally, Lambo designs a car that isn't overdone, overstyled, and over the top. i think it looks great. Although...at the end of the day it's just a rebodied Aventador.

 

And I still think this is better looking.

I prefer the original before they stuck all the garbage on it. It was a much cleaner,sleeker look to my eye.  LP 400 (?)

I really like it, too. I've always thought the prototype LP500 and first LP400 were beautiful cars, and this is very close. In fact, the one in the back looks like the first LP500 prototype which was destroyed in crash testing.

My favorite Countaches are still the 80s ones with the fender flares and large rear wing.  Iconic.  The new one seems to look too much like an Aventador with custom body work.
