I believe Gavin MacLeod is still around? Ed Asner is another one of those actors who wasn't known for comedy but will forever be mostly remembered for his great character on the Mary Tyler Moore show.

Pretty sure he died a few months ago, or maybe even last year. (I saw Bartender Ted from Love Boat on Josh Gates Tonight last week, though.)

You're right. I was too lazy to look it up but see he died May 29th. Only Betty White left from the show and I think she's gonna live forever.

Those shows are way before my time.

But he did an excellent job playing Santa in Elf.

If you like Ed.....find and watch his episodes on Sara Silverman show.  He played a NAZI and something like that will never happen on a comedy show ever again. RIP ED

Last year he played a retirement/nursing home resident on a Netflix or Showtime (I forget which) comedy series. It wasn't a bad show and I think another season is planned. But his character died in the show, so there was never any question of him coming back, except possibly via flashbacks or something.

RIP......I saw on wiki he is in 13 movies that will come out in the next 3 years. Active till the end.
