I really enjoyed building this model. Goes together pretty easily with just some minor flash and mould line removal.  Pet pieve as( with many models) are the bumpers attached to the sprue on the top of the bumper exposing the orange plastic that the kit is moulded in. Another surprise is there are no headlight or taillight bezels in the kit that are on the real car. Molotow (or other)chrome pen with a steady hand rectified that but it would have been nice to have the chrome bezels.

The hood is from Lex and did require quite a bit of reshaping, filing and sanding to fit.  Still not perfect but I just kinda gave up after getting it close. I also removed the drip rail. The wheels and tires are from my stash. I would have liked the stance to have been a bit lower.  Paint is Createx Airbrush Colors Pearl Tangerine with a touch of gold Createx mixed in over Styrynelz gray primer. After the paint dried I misted a light coat of the gold to get a gold highlight. Clear is Rusto Crystal Clear Acrylic Lacquer. I chose to blackout the grill.

The color is really eye catching and a great looking finish. Perfect wheels for this build and the stance looks great. So many of these were modified in just this sort of way when new.

I like this a lot.  The hood really complements the body lines well.

Thanks Steve, yep, I do like how the hood looks on it, but man it took a lot of finessing to get it to almost fit good?

Thanks David.  I do agree about the wheels. If I would have bought one new back in the day it's exactly what I would have put on it probably the first week I had it.

Mean looking beast in stunning colour. I've always liked the styling of the early 70's Camaros.

Thanks Gareth. I agree about the styling. The '70-73 Camaros are probably my favorite of them.

If you recall in later years Chevrolet started using a 15" painted Rally wheel on the Z-28 that looked very much like the five spoke mags. By the way they weigh a ton which actually make them counter productive for performance, but they sure looked great.

I agree David.  I kept looking at them in the kit but I wanted it to have the modded look. And btw, the kit  rally's wheels look darn nice if you haven't seen them.

Nice work, looks good! That's a pretty decent kit, and my favorite body style Camaro.

Thanks Craig, as I've said, my favorite too.

Very nice work. I know what you mean on the bezels. I did mine in BMF.

Thanks Bill.  Looks like yours is the Baldwin kit (that I need to get a hold of).   The bezels on yours look great as does the whole car. Super cool diorama too?

It was the Baldwin kit. I love the hood and spoilers. The stripe package... not so much.

That is one nifty looking Camaro MIke. Very good job picking out the chrome on the light bezels and that hood looks like a pretty dang good fit from where I'm sitting. Kudos out to you on a job well done.

Thank you Joe.  That hood took quite a bit of sanding and shaping and a repaint.
