Mike C Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 (edited) I built this model around 1995. I used the foil from Nestles Crunch bars for the chrome like BMF. I also used MCG PE and gave it seatbelts too. It's painted Testors Guards Red. The engine is detailed and the spark plug wires are in the correct firing order (I always wire those old engines that way). Edited October 9, 2021 by Mike C 4
Venom Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 Wow Mike, that’s a great one! That shade of red and the smoothness of the paint looks really nice. The engine detail is fabulous! And I love that you did your chrome work with candy bar wrappers... very resourceful... and it looks good! It even appears you did the steering wheel that way too. Just shows that we don’t always have to be dependent on companies who produce modeling foil. Excellent build!??
bisc63 Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 Gorgeous Mopar. Right color on the right body; nicely detailed as well! Great job.
TransAmMike Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 Very nice another Mike?. Well done and interesting the use of the foil wrapper?
Zippi Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 Good looking GTX. That Nestles Crunch wrapper on the trim looks pretty good. Always like the red line tires.
Dragonhawk1066 Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 Very nice, especially for being that old! Foil from a Nestle candy bar wrapper, now that's using some resources!!
Kah puts Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Candy bar rapper! I can see myself putting on a few, real nice 26 year old.
TooOld Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Very well done and the engine detailing is awesome !
Hmann68 Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Fantastic GTX! Great job under the hood too! I’m amazed at how great the candy bar wrapped trim looks! Plus....ya got to eat the candy ????
espo Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Beautiful looking paint and finish. I'm impressed that you were able to get this level of chrome trim with a candy wrapper, Great engine detailing.
