tiking Posted October 13, 2021 Posted October 13, 2021 (edited) I decided to put the overloaded truck model in a minimilistic diorama. The plan is to take a photo of the truck from the front and overlay it within a 'Time' or some other magazine-like cover page. This view will be the view the photographer in the diorama, has taken and published as a cover photo for the magazine. I am still working on adding little details here and there and trying to add a figure in front of the truck as well as a ladder and a figure climbing at the rear to place more stuff in the cargo pile. We'll see how far I can take this.A small note. While trying to move the truck to the present position, the axle broke. ? But I managed to glue it(which gave me some headaches, due to the clumsy pile of things at the rear. It made it harder to hold while trying to glue back the axle. I succeeded nonetheless. So far, I am happy with the results, until I can add the other details.I managed to manipulate a photo of my truck, on the cover of two Swedish magazines. Looks pretty cool:---------------------------------- Edited October 14, 2021 by tiking 1
misterNNL Posted October 13, 2021 Posted October 13, 2021 There's a whole bunch of room to add more stuff to this truck's load. IMHO I'd add more small things rather than huge truck tires to fill in(out?)those open side boards.looks like a fun build when you can say " let's see how far we can take this". 1
Zippi Posted October 13, 2021 Posted October 13, 2021 Great job. Love the photos. Reminds me when I was in the service back in the early 70's in Southeast Asia. That's how the local nationals did it. 1
tiking Posted October 14, 2021 Author Posted October 14, 2021 (edited) Thanks guys. Have to order a figure or two and do some small detailing to complete the scene; but so far, so good. Edited October 14, 2021 by tiking

Thank you for your advice. I was just going by what I saw. Just like the truck I saw, they had tyres in and around the truck.

espo Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 Amazing little details everywhere you look. The longer I look at the load the more that you see. 1
