I've been waiting for this model for a very long time. I used to watched the show not so much for the story but I really enjoyed the space ships and the special effects. The MPC huge 22 inches long kit  accurately represents the 44 inches studio model. I weathered it just a little to represent a fictional daily flying workhorse in and out of the atmosphere. I added light in the cockpit and in the pod.

Very well done!  The night photos are very impressive!

I was also a big fan of the show back in the day (and now have full set of DVDs), but I only have the smaller scale kits.  I also have the Moonbase Alpha kit.  I build one as a kid, and picked it up again when it was reissued some years ago. Now just to find the time and space to build it.

Really nice. I used to watch that show back then. But now I think the show is a bit cheesy. But I like the ship and you built it really well. I also like the way you did that night lighting display.

Thank you guys for your kind words.

Peter, MPC issued recently a true 1/72 scale eagle. It has nothing to do with the old off scale kit from the 70's.I built it and it's just is as amazing as the 1/48 kit.

I also built the newly tooled 1/72 Hawk also. I will post them eventually.

be well

Thanks for the info Mario.

Yes, I do have one of the older MPC Eagle kits I  bought probably 20 years ago (a re-pop of the '70s kit) and I also few years ago picked up the Deluxe Edition Eagle kits with resin parts in a flat box.

Beautiful work!

It seems to me that your build has more detail than the ones in the program. Maybe it's the weathering that makes the difference.

The landing pad is excellent too. I really like what you've done with the lighting.
