happy grumpy
A fun build that I did maybe a year ago, gets together nicely, while I was building it , I realized how far cars have progressed in a century. I didn't built it as a police though car but I kept the yellow theme. Most of the model T's I saw were black. A nice, simple little kit.

Oldmopars
Looks great. The reason you saw a lot of black Model T's, is that Ford only sold them in black. He said "you can have them in Black, Black, or Black" He was selling them at a "budget" price compared to other cars at the time, so "options" were not available. I do think yours looks great in the yellow color and you did a great job.

1959scudetto
Looks good, Mario - I once read that as the black paint was drying faster than other colors, Ford made only black model T's in the last years in order to increase output - could anybody verify if that is true or is it just a rumour? I do think yours looks great in the yellow color and you did a great job. Actually, not true. "Any color so long it is black" did not come along until 1914. That saying was true until early in the 1926 model year. By late October 1926 you could get a Model T Touring (or runabout) in black (of course), Phoenix brown or Gunmetal blue. The closed cars were mostly either Windsor maroon or Chanel green. By 1927 it was any car, any color with Drake green and Dawn gray added to the palate. Yellow did not come along until the '29 Model A in Bronson Yellow on the Cabriolet.

Just a rumor. Black certainly aided in the efficiency of the assembly line as there was only one color on everything, but as I mentioned earlier, not all of them were black. Interestingly, all three of my 1:1 Ts are black now, and all three exhibit evidence that they were green when they were new.
