Mike C. Posted October 22, 2021 Author Posted October 22, 2021 Planed to do a full restoration but had to let it go.
Mike C. Posted October 22, 2021 Author Posted October 22, 2021 1986 Sportster still for sale. Had it for over 20 years.
fordf-100 Posted October 22, 2021 Posted October 22, 2021 70 GTO is just about my favorite car, had 2 of them when I was younger, really regret getting rid of them! Yours looks pretty solid other than the tail end, would have loved to have it!
Mike C. Posted October 23, 2021 Author Posted October 23, 2021 Thats how I bought it some 13 years ago. trailered it back from Baltimore. Had Tri-Power setup on it but the 4 bbl manifold was in the trunk. the roof was a little rusty. the previous owner tried to hide it under a non original vinyl top but it did come with both full GM quarters. I also threw in a '71 LeMans parts car. Have some picks on my phone that I can post when I get around to it. i
Mike C. Posted October 23, 2021 Author Posted October 23, 2021 Can't figure out how I got that one in twice. Guy had a2 car trailer with winch. It's in South Jersey now. ?
Rodent Posted October 23, 2021 Posted October 23, 2021 Did he run over your hydrangea on the way out, LOL?
Mike C. Posted October 23, 2021 Author Posted October 23, 2021 Those are my neighbors. I let him use my snowblower in the winter so it evens out. ?
bisc63 Posted October 24, 2021 Posted October 24, 2021 I'm envious of the buyer! What a nice project; lots of potential there.
Mike C. Posted October 24, 2021 Author Posted October 24, 2021 I threw in tons of goodies too. As I understand, those full nos quarters were worth quite a bit. Also threw in a reproduction Judge rear spoiler, another 5, 15in. Rally 2s and that that entire '71 LeMans . When I found what was left of the build sheet, I saw that it said man under the transmission. I was told by the previous owner that the original owner had swapped out the manual trans for the turbo 400 that was in it now. ?
