YBlock292 Posted October 27, 2021 Posted October 27, 2021 The kit came with big, truck-style outside mirrors, for use with the trailer which also came with the kit. Since I did not have mid 1970s style outside car mirrors, the Caprice has none - for now. 3
happy grumpy Posted October 27, 2021 Posted October 27, 2021 Really nice, I like that type of color, the chrome trim is spot on, better than what I did on mine. I like your garage too.
Can-Con Posted October 27, 2021 Posted October 27, 2021 Looks good. I like the colors. You might want to foil the rest if the A-pillar, the stainless steel part on them completely covered the pillar. The box are has always been wrong.
TransAmMike Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 Very nice build Ludwig. Man those Caprice's were loooooong!!
espo Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 Beautiful looking Caprice. The paint finish and color look great and very close to an OEM color that was offered on these. The wheels look nice also.
grodudulle77 Posted October 29, 2021 Posted October 29, 2021 Very nice work !! Your pics are very neat , i really like it !! ??
YBlock292 Posted October 30, 2021 Author Posted October 30, 2021 Thanks again! Color of the body is Tamiya "Metallic Orange", which comes close to the 1976 available shade "burnt orange". Since the original hubcaps wheren't so fancy I used the Cragar s/s rims, which were left over custom wheels from my last built (1966 Chevy Nova). Ludwig
AMT68 Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 Beautiful build all around of a model not often seen. I've used this TS-92 on a couple of builds and it was a great choice for the Caprice. I'm currently working on this one and those body side moldings are no easy task to foil.
Bucky Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 Beautifully done! That's what I call a "statement color"! Very nice cruiser!
slusher Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 Absolutely stunning! This is a full size car!
Venom Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 That is AWESOME! .... And that color is fantastic!
Koellefornia Kid Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 Nice Build! The Cragars and the colour suits it really well!
doorsovdoon Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 Lovely colour and those wheels suit it nicely. Good job on the foil work too, especially on the scripts. Nice work.
