I just wanted to give a knod to all of the behind the scenes folks and all the model builders on this site.  I retired a little over a year ago and decided to get back into model building after 50+ years.  Yeah I know it's been a min.  I really enjoy the hobby and all the knowledge I've gained here from all of you nice fella's.  I really enjoy reading all the WIP and Under Glass threads while I'm setting here drinking my coffee every morning.  All the eye candy is great as well.  I have made some nice friends here on MCM and it really makes my day to shoot the breeze with some of you fella's.  I think that's what I was missing was the interaction with people when I was working.  Ok...I'm done.  Let's get it on boys ☺

I am pretty much in the same boat as you Bob. I too just love this forum…the friendly and helpful folks on here make it a daily pleasure to visit. And, the patience and skills displayed by some on here are absolutely incredible. Thanks everyone!?

Check that man.  I'm just an average builder at best and love to see all the fine detail work that goes into most of the models on this site.  I'm really amazed at the great paint jobs that are being layed down on these models.  I've tried my best to get a good looking paint job but just can't seem to master it.  Yup....great site.

I have to agree with you. I got to retire early a few years ago and I feel like something is missing if I don't get to check in after breakfast in the morning. We recently moved and have been having some remodeling done on  our new place. This has kept me away from the computer at times in the morning and with the painters this has at times meant days away. At times it has even felt like withdrawals. Great to follow what everyone else is building and I get some good ideas from what everyone else is building as well.

Well I'm thinking I too need to chime in.  Been on the Forum since June 2020. I also re-started my modelling from my way much younger days (I just turned 75) after retirement....the first post-retirement model I built was a '68 'Vette in June of 2016 and have had something on the "bench" ever since.

With all that boring stuff being said, my first order of the day is feed the "pup"s, sit down in my recliner with my coffee and open up modelcarsmag.com to look at and read all the interesting stuff that has been posted.   Oops, there I go getting boring again?

Anyway, I have and continue to enjoy the content and interactions with other forum members and have sure learned a lot on here.

Model on guys, and have a great day!!!!!!!

I’m a few years(15) away from retirement and I tell my wife I’m currently stockpiling for my retirement lol. I enjoy seeing the awesome building and details that you guys do. I try to do something new on each of my builds after seeing it on here.
