cobraman Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 Working on 3 Cobras . Large one is the MPC 1/16 scale kit which will be built pretty much out of the box . The medium one is a 1/25 AMT kit which is being made into a long nose Cobra drag car . Some parts to complete on order . The short one is made up of the two parts left from making the long version . Was just playing around with it with no intention of doing anything with it but now I think I will . What I don’t know . The two AMT bodies were made from some glue bomb and parts I bought on eBay .
Bullybeef Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 I’m curious to see what you do with the long nose?

Sam I Am Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 Nice combination. I have the 1/16 in the stash, so will be following along.
Snake45 Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 How about putting the short one on a Meyers Manx frame and making a dune buggy/kit car out of it?
cobraman Posted November 5, 2021 Author Posted November 5, 2021 Thanks fellows. Snake, that is an interesting idea. Chaz, you can find the MPC Cobra on ebay. Also the AMT boxed one which is the same kit. Airfix version is also the same but harder to find and will cost you more most likely.
Zippi Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 All three will be nice when completed. That long nose Cobra drag car will be kewl. Never tried a 1:16 scale. I alway see the 1:16 1959 Chevy El Camino at HL every time I go there.

The 1/16 are the 57 T-Bird, 55 Chevy convertable and Nomad, 57 Chevy and the 1980 Firebird (current kits). I have never seen a 1/16 El Camino, I would buy it if I did. I have the 1/25 El Camino below. Edited November 10, 2021 by Oldmopars

I have the 1/25 El Camino below. I stand corrected. I just assumed it was a bigger scale mode because of the size of the box. Why is the box so big for a 1:25 scale?
