I love me some DTR!

Although my best friend has an asphalt racer with a bumper sticker on it, that reads "Asphalt is for Racing, Dirt is for growing potatoes".......

If we could generate enough interest, it would be great to have a separate tab for DTR!

I grew up watching more dirt than asphalt racing, but as I'm getting older I'm starting to enjoy the asphalt stuff more.  The local track to us is South Bend, and the racing has been GREAT there this summer!  Good mix of classes, good fast close racing and a great atmosphere.  I DO like the changing track conditions that you get with dirt though - certainly throws an extra element into the mix, and I LOVED the dirt race that NASCAR did at the start of the year.

Nothing like being covered in clay dust after an evening in the stands.  Best hair gel ever!:D

Not having to shower when I get home is something I appreciate about asphalt racing...but I still smell like tortured clutch, rubber and exhaust fumes :D

I've been meaning to build one of the Revell (or Monogram, originally I guess) sprint cars for EVER...I should put that on my 2022 build list.
