Tom Geiger Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 Pony Cars Over the past six decades, pony cars have become a uniquely American obsession, bringing a youthful spirit to the automotive world. These stamps celebrate five iconic U.S. automobiles — the 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302, the 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T, the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, the 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7 GT and the 1969 AMC Javelin SST. The bold and dramatic artwork, painted with oils on panel, captures the energy and mystique of pony cars. Zack Bryant designed the stamps with original art by Tom Fritz. Greg Breeding was the artist. As a stamp collector I’m pleased, and I thought this was good news to report here since I see many of the past car stamps on mail from model car folks! 1
peteski Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 NIce! Several years ago they issued a set of muscle car stamps. used them for mail, but I also kept couple of sheets.
Fabrux Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 Now how many of these can Round 2 reissue with the stamp art? ?
youpey Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 (edited) if only they would work as hard on making deliveries on time as they do on the stamps pictures Edited November 9, 2021 by youpey

From what I can see, possibly three (but two would be lousy). The other two would just be pipe dreams. Unless they can find the 68 Cougar tool!
deuces wild Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 Cool!.... The '69 Z/28 I once owned was Fathom green metallic with the white stripes....?
Keef Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 I’ll have to look for some of these when they come out
Jim B Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 Although I am not a philatelist, I do use stamps; so these might be a near future purchase.
Keavdog Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 I have a collection but haven't worked on it in years. I do end up getting some of the car stuff as gifts etc. I'll have to grab these when they come out. They did a muscle car sheet a while back
