bonehead23 Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 (edited) I started with an assembled but unpainted AMT 1962 Valiant I got from a friend in 1972. It remained buried in storage for over 40 years and I never considered rebuilding it because it was old and a piece of history. But then I compared the body's wheelbase with a '66 Nova body, and it was right on. So I used the Nova chassis and it fit with only a little trim, and the engine from a Piranha mated to a 4 speed from a 440 and '67 Chevelle pro street wheels and tires...and there you have it, all AMT parts. The box also contains an SMP '61!!! Edited November 9, 2021 by bonehead23 1

Zippi Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 Nice looking Valiant. I've seen that 66 Nova chassis used on a number of projects. l have one myself.
happy grumpy Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 Beautiful Valiant, unfortunately, we don't see much of these rare old kits. Thanks for sharing this.
Phildaupho Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 A very well done and unique build. I really like it.
Tom Geiger Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 Looks great. I’m an eternal Valiant fan so it’s nice to see one built. I have a 71 Duster chassis fitted under one I’m building
Chuckyg1 Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 I like this build a lot. Glad you pulled it out of the stash. Really neat.
espo Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 Beautifully done. The chassis looks like it was made for this body. Great looking paint and the engine detailing looks good. I would love to find one of these as well, and it wouldn't be built stock.
Zippi Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 Sharp looking Charger Mario. That black looks nice. You produce some nice looking models.
