JordanFordF1 Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 A quick build just for fun. I wasn't interest in this mainly due to it being a snap kit, but once I realized how detailed the kit was, I gave it a try. I also like that it came with both self stick and water slide decals. I used the water slides over the bare plastic body before coating with gloss clear. Everything else was painted. Kit has basic V8 engine representation. I couldn't find any reference photos to Lightning McQueen's engine color but then again if they showed his engine the movie would have been R-rated. I could have done better but I didn't build it for show, I built it for fun.
happy grumpy Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 Doc Hudson would be proud. A really good rendition of a beloved little car. For a snap kit of a fictional character , it has a lot of details.
stinkybritches Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 Well done. I have one of these in the stash. I'm just waiting for my son to get older so that we can build it together.
TonyK Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 Good for you! I built one of these for fun also and was surprised at how detailed it was. Thanks for sharing.
