1959scudetto Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 Once again, an old 1/25 politoys toy car - heavy metal (chassis also !), everything opens, supension and steering work. I snapped this on ebay a few years ago - first 2 pictures of the 1968 original: it is one of the most famous creations of Marcello Gandini, back then Bertone chief designer - the first wedge design car with guillotine doors which later came with the Lamborghini Countach. The Carabo was a one-off design study on a chassis of the tipo 33, 2-ltr. V8 racecar. The photo on the right is of the restored car (air filters on the carburettors) Now the model - with a bit of TLC it can be turned into a rather good representation of the real one - biggest mistake is the hood louvers on the front : they should be rectangular edged and not round - the other things can surely be adressed to without big surgery - repainting and detail-painting. Here is the model: 2
keyser Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 One of my favorites, lots of future production features. 2 pics of 1:1. Car based on AR 33 Stradale which was a wicked tiny car with a 3l V8. AR Sprint Speciales are tiny. Carabo minuscule next to one. It was very popular for fashion shoots too.
