crossfire 2004 Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 When I saw an article on this restored Ford coupe stock car I just knew that it had to be built. Originally owned and raced by Jim Travers, it was a regular on the New Hampshire area race tracks. The build combined both Revell and AMT parts along with resin wheels from ‘The 2
Intmd8r Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 I remember reading the same article and having the same urge lol Very nice execution - job well done
larman Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 Excellent work, you really captured the original car in scale!
bbowser Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 Looks great! What is the reasoning behind leaving the gaping hole in the firewall?
Zippi Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 What a nice clean looking little 32 Ford. You captured it just right. Nice build.
Silver Foxx Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 A great build , a lot of nice detail work .
Olskoolrodder Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 Very nicely done, looks just like it!
Mr. Metallic Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 Well done. I'm not much of a circle track guy, but this being a 32 Ford, it speaks to me. Very clean execution, and faithful to the inspiration vehicle.
alan barton Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 I've built four jalopies myself but none as nice as this! And what a great use for the otherwise unloved Monogram Beachboys 3w coupe body. In this genre the awkward proportions don't look nearly as bad as on a full fendered street rod. That's model builder's resourcefulness for you! Cheers Alan
Dave Van Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 Excellent clean work!!!!! I love that era racers.......I am working on one from the movie 'The Killers'......
