Can you good folks enlighten me on what 4 cylinder & 6 cylinder engines have been kitted.

That's a pretty broad question. Can you narrow the field a little bit (old or newer engines, foreign or American, for what purpose?). The answer will be in the hundreds.

Mercedes-Benz M104 DOHC inline-6. Revell Germany 1/24 MB 300SL. This engine can make 1000hp with enough boost.

I think that the Revell Mercury Cougar kit had a V6, this is the one that shared the basic body with the Turbo and V8 Thunderbird models. The Revell '68 Firebird also offered the OHC six cylinder as an option to the 400 engine in the kit.
