Stevens19 Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 This is my attempt at an Alfa 158/159. I bought a 3d model of it and rescaled to 1/24 and printed it. Painted with Tamiya Mica Red.
David G. Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 Nice work, good color and detail painting. David G.

1959scudetto Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 Excellent model, Steven - this is the 1951 Alfetta tipo 159 (it has the double exhaust pipe and a still larger fuel tank behind the driver than the 158 from the year before)
Gramps46 Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 I would not have guessed it was a printed model. The louvres are amazing.
happy grumpy Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 The way you photographed it makes it really stand out. Sometimes , showing less is more. Cars can be objects of art. This the case here. Great build and photography.
Stevens19 Posted November 27, 2021 Author Posted November 27, 2021 Thanks everyone! I don't know much about these older cars so I'm always happy to learn more! On 11/22/2021 at 6:16 AM, Gramps46 said: I would not have guessed it was a printed model. The louvres are amazing. The printer can print with amazing details, there are a few spots where some layer lines show but I just need to work on adjusting the print and do a little better in prepping before paint. Thanks, the pictures are one of my favorite parts, I figure since I'll never get the chance to shoot most of the cars I build in real life I can have some fun photographing the models.
