Porsche 917K!  Maybe the old Heller/Union kit?

l_07709_Porsche_917K_Le_Mans_Winner_1970_NOT_FINAL.jpg

I think it would be the Fujimi one, since Revell has reboxed Fujimi Ford GT40s...

These, I haven't seen mentioned yet:

1/24 '65 Shelby Cobra 427 -- 07708 (June 2022)

1/24 Porsche 917K, 1970 LeMans Winner -- 07709 (April 2022)

1/24 Trabant 601S Universal -- 07713 (October 2022)

Nice!

The big 1:8 Trans Am is available for pre-order! Price is about $170, which isn`t too bad. Definitely much better than what you will pay for a NIB one right now. I cant wait for this one. Hopefully it isn`t in the shiny brown plastic (brittle plastic) though.

Adding to the list
1/24th Volkswagen Type 2 (T3)

There are so many VW vans from Revell, I can't keep track of which are new and which are reissues. ?‍♂️ ? Good times for VW van fans, though. ☮️

I noticed that. Sounds like it is the bus version of T3 (Vanagon)…they reissued the camper version last year, but I don’t think the bus or van versions have been out since the 90s..I remember the Magnum P.I.  version in the 80s, and there was the panel van and UN ambulance in the 90s.

Wondering if the new 2022 Audi E-Tron GT will be sink hole city like some of Revell-Germany's more recent foreign cars? Sure, I can fill & sand, or, I could look at all the kits I already have, and say "nah".

I wonder if the Olds will be the fastback or formal roof?

This was my question as well. I had hoped for a formal top but typing "71 442 coupe" into the Google machine only brought up fastback cars.

The test shot photos shown here earlier indicated a fastback.  The 4-4-2 wasn't offered with the formal roofline.

The easy click T2 VW bus was good. Hopefully the Audi E Tron will be as good.

Well, that makes that easy. If this sells well, however, it bolsters the case for a 1970-'72 Cutlass Supreme. Maybe we'll get really lucky and get a thoroughly modern small-block Olds out of that, too.

If that goes well....maybe, finally, a Vista Cruiser?

Revell has already released a '72 Cutlass Supreme convertible, so a coupe version (using the base "flat" hood) wouldn't be too difficult to cobble together from parts which already exists. Maybe interior trim, etc. is a deal breaker, though?

Like Pontiac Olds didn't have big and small block V8s, only a difference in deck height, giving us tall-and short-deck Olds V8s. Is the 1" difference in deck heights between the two accounted for in the Revell (and earlier MPC '69 442) kits' engine blocks? The '84 Olds Cutlass? Not sure if anyone has measured any of them, but the '71/2 Revell Cutlass Supreme kit's engine is excellent IMHO, so it should be used as a starting point if you want a grocery getter type engine look.

I'm shocked the Coupe is happening 13 years after the convertible debuted, considering all that has happened with Revell since 2009. I doubt a Vista Cruiser is in the plans, though, as so much would need to be changed. Really, Revell can milk the forthcoming Coupe for at least a few "new" kits, and if they backdate a few things to '70 specs, even more options exist.

While I'd love a Vista Cruiser, I can't see a station wagon selling enough to make the tooling investment worthwhile. But what do I know.

Who knows..would be interesting, and there is precedent--Revell has done a '66 Chevelle wagon and a '57 Ford wagon in the 20 years.  But that was a different time and different Revell..who knows what today's Revell will do.

I'm going to guess the next ev from revell will be another audi, and if they are paying attention to 1/1s it will be the quattro rally car ken block is using for the next gymkhana vid. I think it would be a big seller just cos its blocks car and styled after the group b monsters so thats 2 markets for them

The regular 2-door A-bodies of this generation were on a 112 inch wheelbase, the 4-doors and "normal" wagons on a 116 inch wheelbase, and the Vista Cruiser rode a special 121 inch wheelbase. It would take a fair amount of changing to get an accurate Vista Cruiser out of the existing tool. I would love to see a 1970 Vista Cruiser kitted, but I won't hold my breath.

Time will soon tell, AMT’s Nova wagon is out on the shelves now.

IF they did a Vista Cruiser, a 69 would probably be more successful than a 70, sales-wise if they did a That 70's Show tie-in.

But I like the 70 the best.

Apparently the Jaguar box set will contain the E-Type Coupe and XK-SS.

That XK-SS is a classic and hasn't been released for years, if not decades. A new release with Revell's fantastic new decals is more than welcome.

I agree, I just wish it was reissued on its own since I already own the E-Type and don't want to pay for expensive paint and glue. But I will most likely buy it anyway.
