mr moto Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 A quick fun little project to recharge my batteries. A Glencoe re-issue of an old ITC kit from about 1955. They don't get much older! The small size wasn't much of a problem because of the low parts count and minimal detail. I lowered the stance and replaced the wheels and tires with some from old Aurora Model Motoring cars. BTW, the Glencoe box art shows an XK-150 but I think ITC originally showed what was in the box. Thanks for looking!
Venom Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 Cool!.... I like how the toothpicks in the background give some perception of the tiny scale?
kruleworld Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 interesting little car. i've never seen one of these before
doorsovdoon Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 wow, 1/72 scale! nice work. Sweet looking build.
ChrisR Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 Very nice! I do have the Ferrari in my stash.
Spottedlaurel Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 What a charming little thing, really puts it into perspective when considering it's smaller than a typical HW/Matchbox diecast.
Zippi Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 That's a good looking little Jag. I have trouble with the 1:25 scale so no way I could build one that small.
Bainford Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 Wow, that a cool little model. Is it permissible to use the word 'cute'? Nice work in small scale. Very cool!
happy grumpy Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 There may be less part count and details. But the work to achieve this is definitely there. My eyeballs hurt just thinking building something like this. Kudos to you and your skills.
mr moto Posted November 23, 2021 Author Posted November 23, 2021 (edited) Thank you everyone. I swear it was easy! Glencoe offers a number of these mini-kits and I'll probably buy some more - after I build the Ferrari. They're great fun! Edited November 23, 2021 by mr moto
