Taxdude Posted November 28, 2021 Posted November 28, 2021 Finally back to building after not have a modelroom for 8 months. Here is the mock-up of my art deco hauler. The cab is a resin piece (can't remember who made it). The bed is 100% scratch built. The racer is a '55 Corvette. So much to do yet. 3
chris chabre Posted November 28, 2021 Posted November 28, 2021 KILLER! I absolutely love the bed design
1930fordpickup Posted November 28, 2021 Posted November 28, 2021 I second the love for the bed. I really like this project. The cab looks like a Ron Cash resin product. But I think other have done it also.
tbill Posted November 28, 2021 Posted November 28, 2021 Holy smokes that’s cool!! Any thoughts on colors?
Zippi Posted November 28, 2021 Posted November 28, 2021 Oh yeah.....that's a Looker in my books. This is at the stage where you grab a cup of Joe (or a cold one) and set back and admire what you've accomplished. looking good man.
Phildaupho Posted November 28, 2021 Posted November 28, 2021 This is going to look fantastic. Very well integrated design of all elements.
espo Posted November 28, 2021 Posted November 28, 2021 The resin body is a great representation of the White cab. Besides the great looking bed the design of the sides looks good as well.
89AKurt Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 Off to a great start. I like the tweezer holder.

There were a couple of 2 or 3 steps back but in the end I think it has the deco vibe.
afx Posted November 30, 2021 Posted November 30, 2021 (edited) Nice looking mockup. Where did the 5-slots mags on the Vette come from? Edited November 30, 2021 by afx
Gramps46 Posted November 30, 2021 Posted November 30, 2021 Yes indeed. This one really grabs my attention.
NOBLNG Posted November 30, 2021 Posted November 30, 2021 That is COOL! Great design on the deck section.???
dust collectors Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 That thing is looking killer, nice work.
Zippi Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 Hey Taxdude, can you upload some of that good looking weather you have outside your garage to some of us unfortunate fellows? Thanks man.
Lucius Molchany Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 Near;I think the cab is based upon a White CO.E
Paul Payne Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 How about a red cab and stainless steel bed? Great looking project so far!
Tcoat Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 Nobody noticed that Taxdude hasn't logged in since the day after he posted this 2021?
Dale361 Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Looks like someone else was thinking along those same lines. I love that art deco stuff also!
