disconovaman Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 Inspired by this year's Cannonball Run theme, I built "Aunt Linda's" Matador as a disguised Race car. It's mostly built box stock with the exception of wheels & tires, seats, and LS parts from a CR Corvette. It's painted Rose Gold metallic with a saddle vinyl top. I added chrome trim to give it an original appearance. Running lights and license plates complete the "Ruse' factor. Is it just me, or do others, after they finish a kit, want to build another copy of the same kit? ??? thanks for looking! 1
cobraman Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 That's different, I like different. You don't see many of them built.
stavanzer Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 Great Build! I like the 'sleeper' aspect of the car.
Steve H Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 Oh ya… that’s cool. Very nice job on the sleeper look, including the colour choice. I’ve thought about doing a NASCAR to street car conversion for years, this is great inspiration. Very nicely done Anthony. Cheers, Steve
happy grumpy Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 Nice to see a rare kit converted to a rare subject. Personally I like these odd cars and models. I wish there were more but let's face it, we are a niche within a niche within a niche.? Great conversion , perfect sleeper.
disconovaman Posted December 1, 2021 Author Posted December 1, 2021 ? Thanks everyone! I'm gonna build another one in the future!
espo Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 Interesting subject and the paint work looks great. Nice clean looking trim and the Vinyl Roof.
Zippi Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 Yeah that is a little on the different side but pretty kewl looking.
