1959scudetto Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 2 more of my oldies: about 1984 I built the '50 convertible (amt/Matchbox version, molded in dark blue) - the body was brush painted with Humbrol clear enamel, the ragtop sprayed with grey primer from the can. A few years later I added the '49 coupe, light blue and white auto laquers from the can, used the kit-supplied Crestliner decals for the sides and made a sun visor modifying a leftover from an amt truck. As usual, Humbrol chrome silver for the trim and matte white for the tires. The Convertible urgently needs replacing its ugly vent windows... (the '49 has been sold last year) 1
happy grumpy Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 What a nice pair of Fords Helmut, your models show that building a nice model does not require a lot of after market parts or advance tools , only dedication , patience, talent does help too. Thanks for sharing.

slusher Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 Both look great but the 50 Ford has a beautiful shade of blue on it..
Zippi Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 Love the old Fords. Great job on both. I always liked the exterior sunvisor and swamp coolers.

Thank you Carl, Bob and David for your comments - the blue of the '50 ragtop is the color the kit was molded in. Edited December 8, 2021 by 1959scudetto
