Fat Brian Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 I managed to get the black on the lower body without couple ruining it, now to let it dry for a few days and do the window trim. I also got the interior done, I added a cb to the passenger side. 1

I grew up in Havasu and here is about 10 degrees or so cooler than Havasu, Bullhead or Needles. However, this blew through last night. Good thing you put the top on that Mercedes. Craig, I have been remiss, that is an very interesting take on a classic (in an excellent way). And it even has black California plates. 1 1

It reminds me of the Mustang from Death proof... the car the girls drove... wouldn't think to ad those two colors together but it works.

This is the car that inspired this look, once I saw it I changed my whole build. I was going to build a typical Restomod style car but decided to build it as a Day 2 style early 80s ride. 2
slusher Posted July 28, 2022 Posted July 28, 2022 Great color scene I remember seeing so many of those in black..

I'm going to play up the 80s looks a bit with the red interior and raising the rear a bit. I'm also going to add a long cb antenna to the it. 1
camaro69 Posted August 29, 2022 Posted August 29, 2022 Sorry guys, I have to quit my entry for this year because of missing spare time and wanting myself to much detail for this build. Hope that I can take part next year again. I appreciate all the good modelers who build a model here and definitely will vote for my favorite. Thanks you all for your inspiring work. Model on, Rico
Mattilacken Posted September 2, 2022 Posted September 2, 2022 Nothing is happening at my build right now. Except that my 3d designed and printed lights came in from ghost_33. Looks wickid’ 1
Belugawrx Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Nice work going on here Cannonballers ! Been so busy this summer I haven't had time to participate, but am keeping my eyes on the challenge. Cheers 1

disconovaman Posted September 15, 2022 Author Posted September 15, 2022 This hasn't been my best year for model building. I hope to start back working on stuff in between the hectic schedule I have and maybe pull off something for this challenge. I'm not sure it will be my original plan but I have a few YOB kits to choose from. Thanks to all for keeping the CBR active. I've kinda been MIA around here lately and I need commit myself more to the Run. Keep up the good work and let's get the ball rolling! ???
fivesuns Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 My 57 Ford custom is done. Modifications include Shelby Cobra 427, electric fan for cooling, dual shocks front and rear, a 100 gallon fuel tank in place of rear seat accessed to fill from rear window, slightly tubbed rear wheelwells to accomodate a wider tire and a narrowed Ford pickup rear end. 4

Tim08 Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 Outstanding builds going on here. I've got a little bit done on the impala. Been trying to get the Peking to Paris Plymouth done. Between family, work, and work on the house, gonna try to cram to get this one done. Good job guys! 1
KWT Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Sorry gents... been out of building this year. I don't what it was, I just couldn't get into anything. But I'm knocking out a couple snap kits to get the creative juices flowing. So I opened the Elky up finally... started fiddling here and there, sanding and what not... about ready to spray some primer and rock & roll. Probably not going to go as custom as I had originally planned (was thinking LS swap and so on)... but nonetheless.. I've made up my mind and I'll be at the finish line. 1
Mattilacken Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 #1 Making slow progress. An other mock-up after the wheels have been modified to fit in the Pegasus Sleves. Might use Aoshima lips in front to get a “20 -“23 staggered look. 3
White Rabbit Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 Hello fellow Cannonballers! I recently joined the forum (though, I've been a peruser for some time) after discovering it while researching for a build. I then discovered the forum's Cannonball...and being a lifelong Cannonball lover, I had to enter. So, my entry for this year is a 1980 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa Outlaw. 3
