Dodge Charger R/T - 1968
Revell, 1/25, #85-4202

Since I don't want to introduce everyone individually, today a nice pair of chargers. One of the best kits Revell launched.

The White. "Only" the vinyl roof, seatbelts, carpet and wiring have been changed. Engine orange as the original Charger has.
Painted from a mixed can in the original color "White" - simple but appropriate color name. Black roof, black stripes and black inside.

The blue served as a backup solution for the working doors. The work steps were then implemented on the white.
After everything worked, I decided on the original "Brightblue" with a white interior.
Wiring, lowering, carpet have also been changed. Always love the Steelies - imo a must have.

They have been completed for a year now, in August 2020.

I apologize for the dusty pictures. I haven't found a solution to avoid that yet ...

Wow Dominik, that's a lot of work there. 68 is my favorite charger year. All this work paid off obviously. These are stunning, the amount of details is impressive. My favorite one, color wise, would have to  be the white one. We don't see white 68 chargers that often. Really well done .

Fine builds indeed.

When the '68 Charger was first released I thought it was the most beautiful car I had ever seen. To this young pair of eyes in the UK, it looked like the fastest car in the world but bigger! The size of it gave the lines room to show off.

The shape has only got better over the years, every line looks just about perfect to me.

Those are nice. The white one is especially striking! Very realistic texture on the roof…is that masking tape? For dusting, you can get cans of compressed air for dusting electronics at an office supply store. Not cheap though.

Both are very nicely done..Clean work with all the opening doors and trunk..Out of the three 68/69/70, the 69 is my favorite..That style of Charger/Coronet/Belvedere of those years were the best for Ma Mopar..They looked fast just sitting still..Just my opinion but they even looked better than the Daytona/Super Bird version of those years of "B" bodies..The 68/69 Charger were the nicest cars Dodge ever produced..

Very nice!  I love the side view stance of the blue one.

I second the Tamiya brush.  I have one and it is awesome to pick up little pieces of lint and dirt from models.  Get one, you will love it!

WOW!! Those are both excellent models Dominik! I can't imagine doing two builds of this caliber at the same time. Excellent work on these! You should be quite proud of both of them!

Thank you very much! Much appreciated. I'm proud of both.

I agree: the 68/69/70 Charger look fast while they standing. I love that style and it is of course the best looking Dodge ever built.

@Greg: it is masking tape. i took it several times and it never came up.

And thank you for the tips against the dust. I will try the tamiya brush first, then order "pressureaircan" or so.
