PatW Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 As it came in drab black I needed to brighten it up! But I not sure if I have done. There is a unit over the back wheels which I presume is the electric motor, but everything else covers it up
PatW Posted December 27, 2021 Author Posted December 27, 2021 Yes, you are so right! I wasn't quite sure how it would look until I put it all together.
peteski Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Well Pat, to me this is a beautiful car that is no longer pretty. Then again I also don't care for Picasso's paintings. One thing I will say that it is a very creative paint job.
PatW Posted December 28, 2021 Author Posted December 28, 2021 Thanks peteski. steveracer, the wheels are the kit ones stripped of chrome laid on a sheet of thin plasticard drawn round and cut out plus some 1930's de-chromed hub caps.
PatW Posted January 6, 2022 Author Posted January 6, 2022 (edited) I think I'm done now with model building after 60+ years. The main reason is that as we have very few LHS type shops here in the UK that a spray can is around £6 and the postage/shipping is a few pence cheaper and as a pensioner I can't afford that. Oh I've just had a thought! I can build the models I have left in bare plastic and no paint at all, now that's an idea! I've bought some watercolours in trays/brushes/acrylics/paper and a canvas pad so will start painting soon and see if I'm any good. I did it before, some years ago, but it's so much cheaper! UPDATE, 08.01.22- two new watercolour packs with brushes are on their way so I should be producing paintings soon! Edited January 8, 2022 by PatW
