426 pack Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 (edited) Finally decided to cut apart one of my moebius 70s fords so I can run some really big tires... the engine and rear suspension is from an old monogram pro street T bird. I haven’t gotten to far into the project yet and need to figure out front suspension as well as interior and paint but it’s so far off to a good start. Edited December 27, 2021 by 426 pack 1

I love these Moebius truck kits...??
Painted Black Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 I don't normally like long bed trucks, but those big tires sure do make a difference. Following..
TarheelRick Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Are you going to make it a Ford version of the "Farm Truck"? Like where you are going with this one. Kind of tired of Nova, Camaro, etc. drag builds.

Yeah since discovery velocity started re running all the street outlaws over Christmas it’s all I’ve been watching and the farm truck is in my opinion is the coolest vehicle on the show so I decided to build my own version but since I have so many of the 67-72 Ford truck models and like just about every Ford truck ever built it’s a no brainer for me to build a ford. 426 pack Posted December 29, 2021 Author Posted December 29, 2021 Made some progress on the suspension today, the rear frame section is almost complete and I decided to throw a coat of paint over it to see how it looks. I also figured out what I’m doing for the front suspension, it’s also from the monogram t bird. I think I’m going to have to adjust the ride high in the front and trim the engine cross member because right now I can’t even put a peace of paper between it and the ground... 1
426 pack Posted December 30, 2021 Author Posted December 30, 2021 Started on the roll cage and tubs today. 2
Ralph Henderson Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 WAY cool... where did you get that intake? and you might try to raise the engine a bit. That would be a fun ride!!
Zippi Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 Wheels and tires really make or break a ride. Yours is looking pretty sweet and it's down in the weeds.

426 pack Posted January 1, 2022 Author Posted January 1, 2022 Started applying paint on the truck today, so far I’ve got two colours on it and still need to do a few more browns 1
Scott8950 Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 Looks good, I'd do the grill shell in a dull aluminum or white.
426 pack Posted January 1, 2022 Author Posted January 1, 2022 I think I’m finished painting now, time to finish the interior and engine. 1
Mopeyguy Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Nicelly done so far. Its kinda funny but a friend of mine has the same truck in the same medium blue color. Has a a built 514 in it and has run 9.2 in testing on that engine. I will have to find some pics. Montney is pretty high up there in B.C. brother...
