1959scudetto Posted January 5, 2022 Posted January 5, 2022 (edited) Due to lack of new builds, here is one of my older ones: built in 1986 or 87, photos are from 2005 and 2008: out of the box, sprayed with auto lacquers from the can; lots of bare metal foil on this one (started wrinkling a bit after 20 years) whereas the window surroundings and interior/upholstery trim are brushed with Humbrol silver - I had not the nerves to apply more foil ! I should have wetsanded and polished this one back then (Paint shows orange peel)! Here's the class of '63: Edited January 5, 2022 by 1959scudetto 2
TooOld Posted January 5, 2022 Posted January 5, 2022 Beautiful Galaxie especially in red ! I had a '60 Chevy painted in red lacquer that looked just like that after about 10 years .
espo Posted January 5, 2022 Posted January 5, 2022 Great looking fast back Galaxie. A friend had one like this that was all red inside and out including the roof. You wouldn't lose it in a market parking lot.
doorsovdoon Posted January 5, 2022 Posted January 5, 2022 Beautiful Galaxie. Love the classic red with white roof combo.

happy grumpy Posted January 5, 2022 Posted January 5, 2022 I love those old classics. Great job on the build and color choice. As Espo said, you would easily spot in in a parking lot. The trim is nice and clean.
charger74 Posted January 6, 2022 Posted January 6, 2022 It looks great, i like that you did it with a two tone paint job

Thank you Mario, Larry, Lee, Glen and Eric - I don't know if two tone is factory correct, but I liked the idea of a white roof as the interior is also red as is the body color.
