After a long weekend of building, finally got paint on the dozer and lowboy. Transtar will hit the paint booth tomorrow. The dozer is mocked up to check fit.

Nice looking red color on the dozer !  I see your using the vallejo paints , good to see how they work. I've been slowly switching over since model master discontinued. The metal colors are my next purchase

Transtar is painted. Now to start the small detail painting, decals,  and weathering.

Thanks Jeff. There’s a lot of red on this build. I tried to vary the tones by changing the primer colors. I will be using those paints extensively on this build. I will keep you updated.

Had a decent night at the bench tonight. Got decals and started the weathering on the dozer, got the wood painted on the lowboy and she’s up on wheels. Applied the decals from the Western Star wrecker to the International cab. Still a lot of weathering yet for the dozer and trailer.

I added some more weathering to the dozer and trailer. I built the ROPS and winch and they are in paint. Tracks have the initial color on and I will start the weathering process. I will reattach the chain hooks once I decide the final resting place for the dozer  I have ordered chains and binders to secure the dozer to the trailer

Printed this sprue holder over the weekend. It should help clean up the bench as I build.

Very cool! Never saw one of those. The squirrels would just wreck that on my work bench. ?
