Andrew McD Posted January 17, 2022 Posted January 17, 2022 I'm looking for suggestions for straining paint prior to using the paint in an airbrush. In particular I'm working with Createx paints. I've been practicing on spoons and have had some problems with bits of debris and clumps of paint clogging the airbrush. I really like the look of their pearl paints. I've noticed that paint strainers have different size mesh and I don't have any idea what an appropriate mesh size might be for straining the Createx paint and in particular the pearl paints. Oh yeah, shooting the paint through a Paasche H airbrush. Thanks, Andrew
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 17, 2022 Posted January 17, 2022 (edited) You have a wife or girlfriend? Old nylons make excellent strainer material. Test first though. Some paint solvents will dissolve some of them. Edited January 17, 2022 by Ace-Garageguy ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Dpate Posted January 17, 2022 Posted January 17, 2022 (edited) Micro mark sells some and AK has some. You could get some TCP global paper paint strainers and just take out the filter part and put on the bottle of paint under the cap. Edited January 17, 2022 by Dpate 1 1
