dougwintz Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 Decided to take a break from GT and Rally cars with this 1949 Mercury. Some aftermarket parts like the dice, upholstery and wheels. The paint is Testors (RIP) Icey Blue which went on easily and didn't require any sanding/buffing. If I had to do it again, I'd spend more time on the engine but I was "done" and ready to move on. 3
espo Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 I like the style of this build. The white dashboard and under hood area along with the wide whites.
Rocking Rodney Rat Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 Nice Merc! Don't worry about the engine, most customs didn't have much flash in the engine compartment and were almost always shown with the hood closed to show off the body lines. -RRR
ewetwo Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 Really nice. I love the fabric design on the seats and trunk.

I can't say that was my reason - but I'll go with it!
