Doug 1061 Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 Just finished this up a week or so ago. My local Hobbytown started carrying Revell paint so gave it a shot....will have to try it a few more times to see if I like it or not. First impression is good. Good kit overall, just have to be so careful with all that chrome. I found that those blue nitrile gloves work well for not getting fingerprints/scratches on it. Trouble is with gloves you can't tell when you get a bit of glue on your finger. Box stock except for alcoas and a decal sheet from Model Truckin. I built that cabover Pete 6 or 7 years ago, figured since it's blue I'll just use it for a tractor. I think they make a good pair. Anyway, thanks for looking and comments/critiques welcome. Later, Doug. 3
Bills72sj Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 That is gorgeous in the sunlight. I plan on building mine in a pretty metallic blue too. I like the gloves idea.
1959scudetto Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 This fabulous tanker - gleaming in the sun - a real eye-catcher. Pete suits well !
iamsuperdan Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 Good looking combo! Is that melting snow in the background of your pics? Ugh. Still snowing here.
Nacho Z Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 Wow! What a fantastic looking tractor and trailer!

Thanks Dan, yep that is melting snow. We had anywhere from 2 to 10 in. this week depending where you were, -10F a couple nights ago. Still have the snowy months ahead of us. Oh boy.....
Joe Lange Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 Great looking rig Doug! Really nice detail. The 'ground level' pic looks really lifelike!
trick my mixer Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 Nice looking combination. I especially like the Cabover.
