I viewed this vid when I was interested in scanning for printing (I've since decided its not for me). Its a couple of years old but may get you on the right path.
He talks about using Meshmixer as a converter. I use it for a lot of my 3D printing tasks. Though it was originally designed for FDM printers, I still use it extensively because its way easier to use than Blender, though not as sophisticated.

Finished printing my first body this morning.  It’s the largest piece I’ve printed to date.  Everything else has been the size of a scale tire or smaller.

The bottom plate is on the printer now and I’ll try to get the rest done sometime this weekend.

Here’s the rest of the Ferrari kit hot off the printer.  I’m reprinting the rear wing (this one warped when it was curing).  
I got some weird lines on the sides of the “frame”, but they won’t show on the finished build.  Not sure what happened though.  That’s the first time I’ve had this problem.

My bottom layer exposure is set to around 18 seconds if memory serves.  Also, the edge of the raft is angled allowing a chisel a place to start.  It comes off without too much effort.  

Do you cure the part before or after removing it from supports?  I always cure after.  It seems to make the job much easier for me.

After cleaning the part and supports, I submerge the whole thing in hot tap water (not boiling) for about 30 seconds, then remove supports.  Then after the part is dry, it gets cured.

Another consideration is the resin you use.  Some is more brittle than others.

Disclaimer- I’m by no stretch of the imagination an expert.  I’ve only been doing this since spring of this year.  I’m still learning as I go.

I use scans to make new parts, cloning kit parts was never part of the plan. I clean them up enough to make it easier to develop a new chassis so that the car is completely low when assembled

Hey guys, quick question about delamination.  I just pulled this body off the printer, and 99% of it came out great. But the front roll pan delaminated a bit.

So I think that’s telling me the angle at that area was too level to the print bed, correct?

But the bigger question is, can I salvage it?  If I trim away the layers that delaminated, can I putty it back in, or is this body scrap?

Would it be possible to separate (in 3D builder or ?) the front roll pan and reprint just that part and then graft that on? I haven't been brave enough to print a body yet.

get one of these and you can brush resin on to repair it. its as easy as brush it on, cure for a minute and repeat until its built up enough. the best bt is it wont fall off and no problems with filler sticking and all for 3 bucks. you can also use the same method to stick back the delamination and if your worried about further delamination you can brush a skin of resin over the inside of hiddens areas

You can draw it yourself in blender with some time and learning. Start small and go from there.

I know but I wanted to build one for my wife soon for either Christmas or her birthday 3 months after that.  I was hoping to find someone who can help me with this.

look for EDM 3D model on facebook. they have a 1990 version. i just found it on a google image search. i have no experience of their files but i have seen them used by other people on here

I noticed his work a while ago, but have yet to buy anything. He has some interesting designs for sure. His images look pretty accurate.

Printed my first body yesterday, i decided to print it in Primacreator Water Washable ABS like resin, which almost feels like Styreen. But i had some misshaps. the supports came off and the body split in one location. And it looks over exposed, also the bottom layers are suuper thick even though thats not in Chitu. I was running 0.015 layer height and 1,8s exposure. Printer is Anycubic M5 Ideas for improvment?

Anton, I strongly suggest that with any type of resin, especially if it's the first time using it, I'd run a calibration file/print on the machine first before running any type of long running model. The files are out there online----there's various types to check out, but that will go a long way into zeroing in where your settings should be.

I'm one that doesn't like to throw out setting values for this and that, because even between the same make of machines, there's too many variables that can affect how the print will turn out. I can suggest a setting, but then I don't have the same machine as you do, and what works for one may not work for the other.

BTW, that looks like one of Andrey Bezrodny's files..........I've run a couple of his before, and I've not had any issues. My only complaint with his files is the file size is sometimes waaaaay too big, and that's wreaked havoc in Chitubox to the point I've had it crash.
