Using Dupli-Color Engine Paint

Has anyone used any of the Dupli-Color engine paints? Says they are engine enamel, but contain Ceramic Resins. If so, what primer did you spray it over?

  I've sprayed engine paints over Tamiya primer (aerosol) and el cheapo primers (color place, etc.).

I would test any heat resistant paint before committing it to a model. You just never know what they've put in there and how it will react with plastic.

Here's Duplicolor Pontiac engine blue over Tamiya primer.  The engine is from the Revell 66 GTO.

Thanks for all the responses. I have used dupli-color primer with no problems, but didn't know about the engine paints. Going to get some and test it.

I’ve used tamiya primer, duplicolor primer and the no name black primer from lowes under the engine paint with no issues.
