My Wife and I have gotten hooked on Corner Gas, a Canadian Comedy Show. Set in the fictional town of Dog River, it is an ensemble comedy featuring some very funny actors. (Brent Butt, Gabrielle Miller,  Fred Ewanuick, and others)

Now, I'm trying to ID the cars in the Show. Brent drives a worn '68-69 Olds Cutlass(?), Hand drives an old 70's-80's Ford Pick up, and the Police car is the Ubiquitous Ford Crown Vic.

I may try to build at least these three, If I can pin them down.

Thanks.

It was a great show. Ended 11 or 12 years ago but picked up again with an animated version with almost all the main characters.

Had a lot of interesting cameos of famous Canadian actors, musicians, sports personalities and politicians including a couple Prime Ministers during their terms.

Thanks, Guys!

Ford is an '83.

Does AMT Make a '68 Cutlass Fastback like that?

I've already got the Lindberg Crown Vic, just need to find a close-up of the Door Badge.

Not yet.

I'm hoping (same as many others, I'm sure) that AMT will come out with a variation from their 69 442.

I love this show. My wife and I have watched the entire series twice through. I've been watching the animated version and most episodes are pretty good, too. There is also a full length movie with all of the same actors.

So far as the cars go, the only two others I can think of are Wanda's blue econo box (not sure what it is but it's pretty prominent in the episode where Hank's truck is sold in the police auction) and Lacy's car that's always in the Ruby parking lot.

Edit: there is an episode in the animated version where Brent and Hank buy an old car to build a hot rod. It's a generic looking 20s or early 30s, sort of Model A looking coupe

Well, I guess I am committed. My wife wants me to try building a Corner Gas Diorama.

So, While I can fake the '82/83 Ford Pickup and the Crown Vic, I need to find a 68 Cutlass grille/flat hood to put on the AMT '69 Cutlass Kit to backdate it.

Any body aware of a '68 Grille and or a flat hood?

Rear of the car is quite different as well.

1/18 or 1/64 diecast sort of cheating, but painting and rest of diorama offsets. Pretty sure all available in those scales and easier to fake it in 1/64. ?
